Pa Altus' visit to Echuca

Just when Ma ma thought that it was time to stay at home to help Pa & Matt with the Harvest, I decided to take Old Pa Altus over to Lexie's Echuca for a visit. Old Nana & Pa have been to Echuca many times in the past but not since Nathan, Julz & Lexie have moved there. Nat was able to show Pa Altus about the place, especially the 'blokie stuff' (nat's irrigation work stuff) while us Ladies went and had just a little retail therapy. Old Pa really enjoyed his little stay. Thanks Nat, Julz & Lexie. We even had time to watch a game of 'touch footy'. After the footy match we found the best place to eat our Fish n Chips for tea. It was down by the Old Port. Mind you we had a few extra mouths to feed. The resident duck population turned up very quickly for their evening meal!!!

Lexie was lucky to score a story from Old Pa. He has had lots of practise over the years with his kids & all the grand kids. Old Pa loves those special times.

Celebrations in Echuca

On the weekend we were off to Echuca for Lexie's 3rd Birthday. Ma ma had to get Pa up early to get there in time for the party. We had a great time with Lexie & her little friends.
Blowing out those 3 big candles calls for a lot of wind!!!
This heart towel is just what I need to accessorize my angel outfit

OK Ma ma, don't forget about me!!!!!!!!!!!

Sydney here we come

When some one has a birthday it calls for a celebration, so off Ma ma, Lou & Toby went to Sydney to help Alara celebrate her 2nd birthday. Luchio came around as well to help La la have a fun day.

Pa's Spending Spree!!

Mr Rudd has been so kind in allowing small business a tax incentive on new plant etc, so that has given Pa & Matt some very expensive ideas. On their list was some new silos. Mr Campbell delivered 4 of the 5 this week & watching them put them in place was magic. He made it look so easy, one minute they were on the trailer, next they were in place & with not a scratch or dent!!! Up & down she goes...............................
And all in place with very little fuss

This one put his judgement to the test...............

He's got a good eye.....................didn't even get near the barn, had inches to spare!!

Heinrich's Happenings

The Heinrich Family gathered in Rutherglen last weekend at Cassie & Dave's place. It was a great weekend & everyone had a good time catching up, relaxing & enjoying each other's company. Thankyou to Cassie & Dave for allowing us to use your home & garden for the weekend.

A view of the camping site.

Jumping on the air beds is the best fun ever!

Lexie & Aunty Jill blowing out the candles

Look.....he has a tea towel in his hand. Don't know that he did too much. All show perhaps

We needed photographic evidence for the gathering
Here they all are. Jack was sleeping but you can see his shoes!

Lexie saved her piece of birthday cake for later. Her face tells all!

The next Heinrich get together will be in the Dubbo area, Aug/Sept 2012

Bogged!!!

This is something a little different. Mud glorious mud. Pa has almost forgotten what it is all about. Too many dry years perhaps have dulled the memory. where is the tractor, we need it to pull the Landcruiser out backwards.
(what was pa thinking about when he drove into that bog?)

Bug Spraying

Them Bugs are back!!
Once again Pa has had to call on Mr Freeman & his trusty plane to get them little critters. It is always fun to watch him flying in low & weaving around the trees & farm buildings.

Flying low & fast over the crop
