Best Job of All!

Over the Long weekend recently, we ventured off to Adelaide to do the best job in the world, a spot of childminding. Nathan & Julz were off to a friend's wedding. You don't have to ask us twice.

Pa and his little man, Mitchell

Miss Lexie & her Pa

During the weekend we were able to catch up with Izzy & Daryl. They have moved to Adelaide after living in the Alice for 30+ years.

Master Mitchell was the centre of attention with Aunty Izzy & Pa

Burning Off

It is that time of the year again. In early March, with the threat of rain, Pa & Matt were determined to get out into the paddocks for some stubble burning. So later in the day & near evening off we headed to give the snails & weeds a hurry up. It really does look spectacular at night & it is easier on the poor old trees. They do not like it too hot!

It does make a fantastic sight.
We even had some sightseers

Life Membership to Uncle Bing

Recently Uncle Bing along with 5 other hard working people received Life Membership Certificates from the Clayton Farm Group. Bing has been an active member of Clayton Farm for 29 years. He loves to tinker with old tractors and machinery and has brought to life or restored some of them out there at the Farm. CONGRATULATIONS BING, we are very proud of you and all that you have achieved.

Bogged and the Boys

We have been waiting all harvest for it to happen. AND it did. Pa got himself in a bit of a mess while doing the Chickpeas. We have had to pull out the trucks a few times so it was just a matter of time for the Header.

I think Pa had some fun doing this!!!

Uncle Matt to the rescue with his trusty Massey!
(it got a lot of towing jobs)

During the last few weeks the grandies have come for some visits. We love those times together cos we get to do some fun stuff & forget about the housework.

Jack checking out the puddle.................will I or won't I? Just toooooo tempting.

The sun didn't have to appear for these two to find some water to play in.

That sprinkler provided a lot of fun
