A Long Time Coming

Well it has been worth the wait. It is 11 years since we shifted from Pinehill to South Servi and Pa had promised me new carpet & curtains for the Rumpus Room. Somehow it was always put on the back burner to be done later, so this was the year for it to happen & I am really happy with the transformation. Now the family can enjoy the results.

The carpet was the first to go in................so lovely to walk on

Then a week later they come out to hang the new tracks & curtains.
The transformation is complete........ Rumpus Room looks brand new!!

Latest Happenings

Mid April I ventured up to Echuca to do a spot of child minding while Nathan & Julz took their much awaited holiday to Hamilton Island. I had a wonderful time with Lexie & Mitchell. It got Ma ma back into the school routine

The happy couple with their 10th wedding anniversary gift from the family.
(a basket full of tins. Now the fun starts in finding out  what is in each of the tins?)

Just a minute Ma ma..... I'm busy just now!

Lexie & Mitchell kept themselves busy with lots of play & shopping expeditions

After my week away, I came home to go over to Mundulla to look after Beau & his big brother Toby while Laura did a few shifts at the Child Care centre. Had lots of fun & cuddles with these two boys.

Beau is still shovelling in the dirt. Such a dry argument I would have thought!!

Here Toby is showing me his bike riding skills. Getting very clever.

On the 5th May we went to the Bill's Gully Hall Centenary with alot of other local people. We had a great time catching up & having a look about the area.

some of the crowd waiting for the formalities to start.

The old wagon belongs to Mr Wheaton who owned the  Miram Store & used to do the mail & groceries deliveries to the area, the orange vehicle a ute belongs to Kelvin Moar & Pa's old Dodge were on display

Lucy Grace's Baptism

While Kara's Mum & Dad were visiting they decided to hold Lucy's baptism on Sunday 14th April and the  family gathered at church to witness the special occasion. It was a family fun day with all the children being able to run and play after a lovely lunch at the Mundulla Pub.

The grandies stood up with Matt, Kara & Jodie so they wouldn't miss anything.

Family get togethers

We spent the Easter Break at home and had a lovely time catching up with family. One of those times was over at Matt & Kara's on Sat avo.  The children decided that it would be good fun trying to catch some yabbies.  Out came the baling twine and some bait and a willing big person to wade in to see if any were on the end of the line. Aunty Jenni was the one.  A few were caught and were thrown back to grow bigger!!

Pa & Troy getting the fire & BBQ organized while the kids had a great time running about  playing & throwing sticks into the water.
 Sausages are nearly done.

Last Saturday while Kara's parents were visiting, we ventured to Naracoorte to Straun House to watch the Ozact Company's  "Twelfth Night" The setting was perfect for the production and we all enjoyed it.
 Beautiful Straun House
They used the house as a back drop for the play.
