Sydney Bound

In March we ventured up to Relle and Sami's for our annual visit. We had a wonderful relaxing time with them and the girls. We were able to visit Leyla's pre school, watch La's gymnastics, their swimming lessons, go to playgroup, tour the Royal National Park. So many things to do and to keep us occupied. When Pa go bored he decided to give the car some much TLC. When he finished he didn't think that we needed to invest in a newer car. I may not get the activities in the correct order but we had a wonderful holiday.

Sami's launching pad for his flying. A beautiful spot overlooking Wollongong in the Royal National Park.
We stopped in at Garie Surf Beach on our travels to try our hand at a bit of body surfing.

All Ma ma managed to do was fill up the bathers with sand and kept getting knocked over by the waves. La had a ball and would still be there if we let her.

Pa and Leyla were content to just sit in the sand and sun and eat lunch.

We wandered on and found a lovely spot at the Bundeena town beach where the little creek flows to the sea. A very pleasant spot to spend some time relaxing and watching the girls swim and play in the shallows.

Leyla had a great time just doing her own thing. And of course there is always a treat when you visit such a beautiful place.......ice-creams!!!!

Our last port of call for the day was at Wattamolla Beach.
La spied the cliff jumpers over the river and decided that she wanted to have a go. She is our little thrill seeker. Off she ventured and we waited on the other side. We waited and waited and waited.I think that she had to spend some time in convincing herself that it was OK to jump. It looked pretty scary at that height. Perhaps she waited too long in thinking about the jump before she finally attempted it.

Finally the big jump. Then she jumped again and again and again.  Well Done La!!!!

Lizette turns 1

Our two little girls turned one during January. Rory had a beautiful morning tea out at Rachel and Wade Neumann's. Rachel did an amazing job of providing a wonderful spread. Relle has some photos of that little party on her blog site. A few days later we ventured up to Echuca for Zettie's party. There was a morning tea at the adventure park on the Sat with some little friends and to have the  birthday cake.

Birthday Season

Toby starts off the long line of Birthdays after Christmas. We celebrated most of them down at the beach with the cousins, aunts and uncles. Lots of fun with all the family around to play with and plenty of sand, sea, swimming, bike riding, ice-creams and treats from the shop.

Toby's 7th birthday with a magnificent tip truck cake

There are always lots of friends around to help him celebrate

A few days later we gate crashed Jacqui's 8th birthday party at the park. It is great to be part of a large family, there are always plenty of friends to help out with the celebrations!

Next day was Matt's 40th Birthday and that called for some serious celebrations

What do you get someone who has everything? A kayak which was a sure hit with Matt and the children.

 Happy 40th Matt

Uncle Matt and Davy trying out the new toy.

Next on the birthday list was Relle.

Her beautiful Fish cake (being at the beach) made by Aunty Laura

 Always lots of candle blowers

Old Pa and Uncle David celebrated their birthdays next and we thought that Fish n Chips in the Park was a good way to go.

Then back to the beach house for the all important cake.

After that spell of birthdays it was back to the Farm for a late Christmas gathering with Nathan, Julz, Lexie, Mitchell, Zettie and a visit from Honor, Flynn and Greta.
Steve brought over Toby, Beau and Davy's little bike for the kids to have some fun on.

Part 2 of Birthday Trip

On our way home from Sydney, Laura and the boys dropped me off in Echuca so I could spend some time with Lexie, Mitchell and Lizette. Most important of all was to help Lexie celebrate her 9th birthday. Uncle Pete and Aunty Alyce also came to help with the celebrations. She had a wonderful day and we (Julz, Lexie, Alyce & Ma ma) had some time for a little bit of retail therapy! Thanks for the fun!
