Our Sydney Trip and Birthdays

Relle had warned us that she had plenty of adventures in store for us this visit. AND we sure had some fun. Always something to do and look forward to each day. First off the ranks was a visit to the Rafting Centre for a spot of Rafting.

 Fun with Uncle Sami

Toby trying his hand at the kayaking

Then it was off to a new park down the road
 Davy mastering the climbing wall

 Toby loves  climbing stuff

On Sunday we took a train ride up the mountains to Wentworth and found a lovely spot by the Lake for a picnic lunch and a play in the park and some water fun.

Then it was time after the walk back for an ice cream treat

We entertained the other passengers on the train ride home. Oh, we love the reaction of  country kids when experiencing  a new adventure!

 Cup of Tea anyone?

On Monday we were off to Taronga Zoo. Has been a little while since our last visit so it was a fun and exciting day.

We had a wonderful day at the Zoo and then a lovely meal at a Pizza Cafe on the way home while we waited for the crazy Sydney traffic to thin out to our standards.

The Birthdays have finally arrived!

Happy Birthday La and Leyla

Still the adventures came. Next morning we were off to Wollongong and we found a wonderful park for the kids to play in. The flying fox was a hit. We had to prise them off to allow other kids a chance to play on it.

A swim at the little inlet was a great way to cool off.

This is the reason we went to Wollongong. Steve jumped out of a plane for his Birthday!!!!!
Happy Birthday Steve.

After another adventure filled day Steve celebrated his birthday with an ice cream cake. Much to the delight of all the kids.

The next day it was La's turn to celebrate her birthday her style. That included a bush walk, lunch and swim with her little friends and the family.

 Off we go!

At the start of the Paradise Track in the Blue Mountains

The kids making the most of the beautiful pool

Lots of fun in the water. A beautiful spot on a hot day.
On the way home we stopped off at Yogurt Land for treat after all the bush walking. Thanks La for a fun time at Paradise Pools.

Latest Happenings

Pa needed to take a trip to St Arnaud to pick up the repaired roller tow, so he thought that it would be a good excuse to go onto Nathan & Julz's for a quick visit. So off we went and we spent a couple of days with them. While there Pa was able to help Nat take out the post in the middle of the Patio and to help him strengthen the roof line. There was lots of help from Mitchell their side kick. We even had time to watch the Melbourne Cup being run and a couple of us were able to pick a winner. Ollie won the Sweep with Ma ma coming in 2nd and Mitch a 3rd.

Flying with Poppy Hop

A couple of weeks ago Poppy Hop took Pa up for a fly to have a look at the water around the farms. They had an interesting hour in the air looking at the country side.

A Wet Spring

Those of us who are farmers have been asking and wanting a nice wet or wetter spring than we have had in the past. Well our wishes have been answered and we are currently enjoying a wetter than average spring. It is wonderful to see the water flowing down the road and into the swamps, dams and creeks. No-one is allowed to complain after so many dry finishes. It is great!
