Birthday Trip

We (Laura, Ma ma, Toby, Beau and Davy) packed the car and went on our annual trip to Sydney for the girls birthdays. We had a wonderful time with Relle having something for us to do each day. Lots of fun was had by us all.

Off to "Go Bananas" for lots of fun in the indoor play ground.

Toby was very keen to go Rock Climbing again to build on his last experience. He mastered some of the more difficult climbs this time. Well Done!

La is an old hand at it. She scales all the walls.

 Made it to the top.

Leyla is mastering the art of the wall as well.

Beau is very proud of himself.

We had many a Jam Session with our budding muso's

 Leyla, Davy and Beau

Leyla had Cake in the Park with her little friends. Louie brought along her face paints and was an instant hit with the kidlets.

We found a new Adventure Park at Paramatta along the river. It was amazing with all sorts of rides, swings, water play, etc. Something for everyone to keep them amused.

Finally the big day arrived.
 Roller Skates for La

A Princess Elsa outfit for Leyla.

La was involved with her schools" Follies Production" so Louie, Toby, Beau and Ma ma went along to view the show. It was wonderful. Well Done to all the students.

In the evening Lucho, Jill and Morgs came over for the birthday tea. Their gift to the girls was the super water slide and it was a hit with the kids.

No flies on this little one. He knew exactly was to do!

Lucho showing the kids some great dance moves.

Our two birthday beauties. Love them to bits.
Thanks for the wonderful week.

We had another trip to Queensland early August for a family wedding. We ventured to beautiful Hamilton Island for the event. It was a short stay but a very enjoyable one. We had lots of laughs and lots of family time. Thanks for allowing us to be part of your special day Nicole and Jake.

Simpson Desert

In between our trips to the sunny state of Queensland, Pa managed to squeeze in a trip across the Simpson Desert with Kath & Trevor Pietsch and Leeane & Kym Krause. The scenery was beautiful with some emerging wild flowers but the track itself was horrible. Lots of traffic over the track in the last few weeks left it very rough. We enjoyed the time out in the desert and the company was great.

Our first camp on the trip

We stopped in at the Farina ruins to have a look. There was a delicious smell wafting from the old Bake House so it needed investigating.

Along the Oodnadatta Track we stopped in to check out Coward Springs. Kath is testing the water temp in the spa.

Sunrise at our camping spot at Beresford Siding. We had a lovely water view over looking the large dam.

The Algebuckina Bridge over the Neales River

We stopped to watch the real cowboys at the Bronco Branding Championships at Oodnadatta

When we got to Dalhousie we were unable to have a camp fire so this was the next best thing says Leon!

But best of all was being able to go and have a soak in the Springs. We spent a couple of hours in the water the night before and then Kym went back for a second soak the next morning.

 Lunch time on the track
